天下人了解自己，那么就與天下人同甘苦共患難；天下人不了解自己，就巍然在天地之間而無所畏懼這是上等的勇敢。與孟子的“達(dá)則兼濟天下，窮則獨善其身”有異曲同工之妙，只要自己行得正，心中有善，或者要做的是超前的大事業(yè)，而別人不理解自己，有“燕雀安知鴻鵠之志”的無奈，也無需畏懼別人的眼光，堅守自我。
